The Story
With 4 years of friendship in their back-pockets, it was only natural for Sunday Somewhere and Rebecca Taylor to officially collaborate on a limited-edition range of sunglasses that breathes and shares their passion for distinctive design and timeless beauty.
The Designers
Rebecca Taylor is known for signature prints, dimensional texture and romantic fragility fused with a sophisticated edge.
“I love how effortlessly this collab came together. Rebecca and I share similar design values and aesthetics so it was something we both wanted to explore” says Allison (SUNDAY SOMEWHERE founder and creative director). "SUNDAY SOMEWHERE shares a unique design perspective and provides beautiful, high-quality eyewear that really resonated with me. I felt the collaboration was natural since our brand ethos is so aligned. I am excited to be able to offer a fresh take on eyewear for the Rebecca Taylor customer”, says Rebecca.
The Collection
Inspiration for the collaboration channels the eclectic French girl - Francoise Hardy from the late 70’s and early 80’s. The capsule collection is an enviable mix of femininity with modern nostalgia. There are two unique styles; the ISABEL and ZOE named after Rebecca’s daughters. The ZOE is a feminine update to the aviator with iridescent mirrored lenses and metal accented trims to complement its fashion frame. Whilst the ISABEL is a re-interpretation of a classic round style using modern materials such as transparent acetates in delicate hues for a day-to-day understated luxury.
